Redhack has hacked the websites of three ruling AKP municipalities, noting that “the appointment of trustees to municipalities means usurpation of people’s democratic rights.”
Redhack (Red Hackers Union) hacked the websites of three ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) municipalities in Aksaray, Afyon and Niğde.
The websites of following municipalities have been hacked by the group: Aksaray Güzelyurt District Municipality, Afyonkarahisar Susuz District Municipality and Niğde Kemerhisar Municipality.
Redhack has released the following message on the hacked websites:
“The hunch on the back of our people created by the palace by unleashing itself upon the labor of our poor people is growing with each passing day. The gang of AKISIS and MHP has usurped the democratic rights of people and violated their will with a rhetoric of terror. We will not knowingly or not knowingly helping them in this.
“We, as Redhack, would like to declare that we will appoint trustees to the municipalities of ‘my person.’ It is not how trustees are appointed, trustees are appointed like this. Those who are unjust are to be hacked. We don’t forget, we don’t forgive, we don’t compromise.”
“…and, by the way, greetings to our lawyers resisting in all corners of our country…”
Sharing a statement with the press, Redhack has indicated that the alliance of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) “attack local municipalism in the person of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) and usurp the will of peoples in the region.”
It has also announced that they will hack one AKP-MHP municipality website per municipality appointed a trustee in protest.
